Joe DiMaggio Park

Joe DiMaggio playground boasts the playground trifecta: amazing playground, next to a library, with a swimming pool. Seated in North Beach the playground also boasts Bocce courts - a quintessentially Italian pastime. The park was renamed in 1981 in honor of San Francisco baseballer Joe DiMaggio, who grew up playing softball in the playground.
The centerpiece of the playground is a side by side slide tower descending from a castle-like play structure. With views of Coit Tower and Saints Peter and Paul Church and Lombard Street, this park feels quintessentially San Francisco.
