Visitors to the top of Nob Hill have a rare opportunity to witness old world splendor in all its glory. Flanked by Grace Cathedral, the Scarlet Huntington Hotel and the Flood Mansion, Huntington Park offers a front row seat to the magnificence of the past. The park boasts a formal rectangular space with entrances on all four sides that connect to a central circular plaza and fountain, as well as low hedges and trees that border the brick walkways that bisect the park. It is also home to the "Fountain of the Turtles," a replica of Rome’s Fontana delle Tartarughe, and a bronze statue "The Dancing Sprites," both of which were donated to the city.
A playground for children is located on the northern end of the park, and lush grass lawns and flowering plants soften the edges. Visitors can take in the sights and sounds of cable car bells ringing in the distance. Huntington Park is a reminder of the past and an invitation to explore the historic grandeur of Nob Hill.
